Terry Fox Run
For those of you who do not know, the Terry Fox run is this Sunday (September 18, 2011). The Terry Fox run is actually one of the most inclusive 'races' around - as you can run, bike, or walk (like me), for as long as you want (most race sites will mark the first km, 5km, and 10km).
The Terry Fox organization is a charitable foundation, where 85 cents of every dollar raised goes to cancer research* (*a three year average), and to date $550 million dollars have been raised world wide. If you would like to find out more about the various 'run' sites for this coming Sunday, or for more information about The Terry Fox Foundation, please visit http://www.terryfox.org/
This will by my second year participating in it, and I am currently raising money for this great cause.
If you would like to donate, please feel free to pledge me, by visiting http://my.e2rm.com/personalPag

Alberta
I just got back from visiting Banff and Jasper. Having never been out west before, the sites just amazed me, and I don't think I have totally processed what we saw while there.
Banff is such a booming tourist area, but even there, we were able to see elk right in town, and 2 different black bears along the drive to Lake Louise. The hustle and bustle of the area didn't detract from its beauty. We stayed on the outskirts of the townsite, in Hidden Ridge Resort, which had fantastic condo style rooms. We even had a private hot tub on our balcony that overlooked the mountains. Just beautiful!
Since we didn't have a car, we used several tour companies to get to the various sites. While in Banff, Ian and I took 2 tours with Discover Banff Tours, which were fantastic - small and personal. The guides were great, and took time to answer any questions we had.
To get from Banff to Jasper we took a tour from Brewsters, that brought us to several sites, including the Columbia Icefields and Athabasca falls, before dropping us off at our hotel. It was such an easy service, and the driver/guide was quite the character.
Jasper is much much smaller, and since it's further away from Calgary (just over 4 hrs), and just under 4 hrs away from Edmonton, it is a lot less touristy. Don't get me wrong, this town still sees its fair share of tourists, but nothing compared to the 3.5 million that Banff reportedly gets.
In Jasper we saw a lot more wildlife, including a small heard of female elk, and a momma bear and her two cubs. Just awesome!
Anyway, these were just a few of the many (MANY) photos that were taken during our week in Alberta. It was a fantastic trip, and I hope that I get the opportunity to visit again soon.
Wedding Photos
As some of you may know, I recently got married in a small ceremony in July. Our ceremony was inside the greenhouses at Allan Gardens, and we had a delicious dinner at Biff's Bistro (Front and Yonge street). Could not have asked for a better day!
If you are planning a special day, I really can not express how happy we were with everyone involved, and how spoiled we were on our day!

Summer Fun
Had the great opportunity to join K, M and their son J at the local park recently. It was a beautiful, warm day and a great day to spend a little time outside.

Fun in the Sun!
Had a great couple of photo sessions this past weekend. The weather Gods were very kind, as we were outdoors for both sessions.
With the success of the WebPiggy deal, it's been quite busy around here, but it was nice to get out and enjoy some of Toronto's best parks. This little gal came for a visit during photo session on Sunday. Thought I would share!
I hope all of you have been having a great spring, and enjoying some of the great weather we have been experiencing!

Wedding Bands
As some of you know, I am getting married in July. As part of our preparations, Ian and I decided to make each other's wedding bands, at The Devil's Workshop (http://www.thedevilsworkshop.ca/). It's a one day workshop, and at the end of the day, you walk away with your wedding bands. It's a terrific program - and I would highly recommend it for everyone!
I thought I would share some photos from the day!

A Quick Note
Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that the portrait packages have changed a little bit.
Instead of the one price, we've gone back to a session fee and print/disc pricing. This allows for you to easily customize your session and the products you receive, as well as allow us at triebephotography introduce some new packages, including the Belly to Baby session and the Sit up, Stand up session.
Triebephotography continues to grow and will hopefully be introducing some more new and exciting promotions!
Cheers,
Megan

A Year in Review - Families
Photographing babies and families is one of the highlights of my job - I love watching the little ones grow up in front of my lens!
Here's just a quick peak of what went on in 2010.
